The shofar, or ram’s horn, is a 3,000-year-old instrument that heralds great events - a new king, a battle or a festival. The shofar also symbolizes Abraham’s faith in offering Isaac to God. During Rosh Hashanah, the blowing of the shofar expresses the feelings of wanting to change.
